Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Mesquite, Texas (in the Dallas–Fort Worth area) is a long-term acute care hospital providing advanced medical care for patients with serious, prolonged illnesses or complex injuries. We specialize in treating patients who need extended hospitalization and intensive services – such as ventilator/respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, IV medication management, and complex wound care – in order to recover sufficiently before transitioning to home or a lower level of care. Mesquite Specialty Hospital offers an intimate, patient-focused setting with all private rooms and an expert team, including physicians, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation staff. We are seeking a Full-Time Clinical Compliance Specialist to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Minimum two years clinical experience preferred.
  • One year in clinical compliance role preferred.

 

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of and resource for Federal, State and the Joint Commission standards and hospital specific rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

 


Responsibilities

Provides clinical leadership for the following areas: Infection Prevention/Control, Medical Staff Services, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Quality Management/Improvement. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
