The HR Compliance Assistant supports the Human Resources team by ensuring company policies, Blissbooks documentation, and the HR ticketing system are accurately maintained. This role is responsible for recordkeeping, report preparation, and assisting with compliance efforts to ensure HR operations align with all applicable regulations and standards. A strong attention to detail and a proactive approach is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with audits of HR policies, practices, and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain and update HR records, including employee files, and policy acknowledgments.
- Assist with monitoring changes in local, state, and federal labor laws and assist in implementing necessary policy updates.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements for the HR Department.
- Track and ensure compliance with signing of policies in Blissbooks.
- Assist with updating policies in Blissbooks.
- Help prepare and submit reports for regulatory bodies, such as the EEOC or DOL,
- Support Global HR Operations team with administrative duties including mailings, monitoring HR mailbox, responding to employee inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality and data privacy in handling sensitive employee and company information.
- Collaborate with other HR team members and departments to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Associates degree with 1-2 years HR experience is preferred (High School Diploma or equivalent required).
- A minimum of 1 year HR, compliance, or administrative support experience.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with UKG HRIS systems preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Standard office hours with flexibility as needed.
