ERMCO is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support key financial operations, including fixed asset tracking, monthly close, and internal reporting. The Accountant will work cross-functionally and contribute to the company's financial accuracy, process improvements, and business growth.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and financial reports
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve variances
- Review and code vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecast
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to achieve financial objectives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit analysis
- Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or within a team environment
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of files or paperwork
