What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of progressive experience in site investigation/remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
- Proven project management skills with ability to lead teams and manage budgets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and review technical reports.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
- Commitment to health and safety protocols.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license in NC/SC or reciprocity.
- Experience with environmental data management tools (e.g., EQuIS).
- Familiarity with innovative remediation technologies and electronic field data collection.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage site investigation and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and sediment.
- Oversee sampling, drilling, well installation, vapor intrusion assessments, and high-resolution site characterization.
- Interpret environmental data, develop conceptual site models, and prepare technical work plans and reports.
- Evaluate remedial alternatives and negotiate cost-effective closure strategies with regulatory agencies.
- Implement and optimize remedies using traditional and emerging technologies.
- Mentor junior staff and delegate tasks effectively.
- Prepare proposals, support business development, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Foster collaboration across ERM’s global network of technical experts.
