ERM is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Lisbon, covering the following services: environmental impact assessment studies and environmental permitting. Based in Lisbon, the Consultant will focus on projects, assignments and proposal tasks under supervision of the team leader and PM's, contributing to the achievement of the team and group targets of quality project delivery, client satisfaction and understanding application of HSE legal framework to real situations. His/her main responsibilities and tasks will be: Researching information for the preparation of environmental studies. International standards and best practices (IFC, WB, EBRD, BAFD…) and specific national legislation of the country of work. Experience in Environmental and Social Permitting and Environmental Impact Assessment studies. Support in the preparation of the description of industrial processes/activities of the projects (especially Oil&Gas, Mining and Power). Supporting project managers in requested activities such as research for information, writing repots, preparing proposals, preparing presentations, etc. Conducting fieldwork activities when required. Develop the tasks requested in time and with high level of quality. Ideal candidate: We are seeking for a candidate with enthusiasm to develop a career in an environmental sustainability consulting firm. Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. 5 years of experience in a similar role is required. Availability for travel. High level of English and Portuguese is a must. Other languages (Spanish, French) would be valuable (not mandatory). Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports. Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
