Job Summary:
The Summer Grounds Maintenance Intern supports the maintenance team with general upkeep, cleaning, and light repair tasks across the property. This is a hands-on, seasonal role designed to provide exposure to facilities maintenance, equipment operation, and safe work practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs under supervision
- Support general building and facility maintenance tasks
- Help with pressure washing and cleaning of ceilings, pillars, walls, and other surfaces
- Clean and maintain travel ways using equipment such as sweepers and scrubbers
- Pick up debris and trash to help keep grounds clean and safe
- Perform routine grounds care, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping tasks
- Assist with upkeep of fence lines, parking areas, and other property spaces
- Follow all safety procedures and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
Skills/Abilities:
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic mechanical interest or aptitude is a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn to operate equipment such as lifts, scrubbers, and pressure washers (training provided)
Education and Experience:
- Required: Valid Driver’s License
- No prior experience is required but it is a plus
Physical and/or Travel Requirements:
- Periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds
- The ability to bend, stop, and stand for extended periods of time
