Job Summary

Pharmacy Retail and Specialty Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the business performance and optimization of Erlanger Health retail and specialty pharmacy ventures, which may include:

• Financial Management: Overseeing the financial performance of the pharmacies, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost control.
• Patient Experience: Ensuring a positive patient experience
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding medication dispensing and pharmacy operations.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborating with healthcare providers and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans for retail and specialty pharmacy services.
  
  

Education

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy school with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
  
  

Preferred

• MBA or MHA
• 340B ACE
  
  

Experience

Preferred:

• 2 years' experience pharmacy administration

Position Requirements:

• Current and Valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Tennessee, or be eligible to be licensed as a Pharmacist by reciprocation or examination.

Department Position Summary

The Pharmacy Retail and Specialty Business Manager will serve as a member of the pharmacy administration team and report to the Director of Pharmacy Business and Analytics. In their role, they will:

• Oversee the retail and specialty pharmacy startup and optimization. Responsibility over service, staff, quality, budgeting, business infrastructure and growth, HR, regulatory, compliance, licensing, etc. Work with managing partner to ensure daily operations meet regulatory requirements, quality metrics and performance goals.
• Work with the 340B Coordinator and Procurement Management to support these services on execution and compliance within the 340(b) Drug Program as it applies to the retail and specialty pharmacy ventures to assure qualifications for the program are met and maintained for regulatory compliance and financial optimization.
• Assist in ensuring the department maintains and grows its financial impact through partnership across multiple business lines in order to develop and implement business plans.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation for the Erlanger Pharmacy strategic plan
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures governing the operation of pharmacy business
• Recruit, orient, motivate and maintain an effective team to carry out assigned responsibilities.
