Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Breast Program Manager and/or radiologist, performs a variety of mammography and breast ultrasound procedures, including invasive procedures. Performs both screening and diagnostic mammography.
Education:
Required:
A graduate of an approved radiologic program with ARRT certification in Mammography.

Medical and/or hospital clinical experience required. Basic computer experience required (1-2 years� work experience or college level classes)
Preferred:
One-year prior breast sonography
One-year Prior Mammography Experience Preferred.
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required:
Under the direction of the Breast Center Manager, and/or radiologist, performs a variety of breast ultrasound and mammography procedures, including invasive procedures. This position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of breast ultrasound/mammography equipment to create high quality images. Excellent communication and rapport with physicians is required.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the units policies and procedures.
Clinical competency is evaluated annually using a variety of mechanisms. It focuses on the population-specific needs of the customers served by the staff member.
