Job Summary
Functions as a working team member in a leadership role to ensure timely completion of all Archival, Imaging and MPI/EAD tasks, while meeting quality and productivity standards. Serves as a resource for 2nd shift Analysis and Distribution staff as needed.
Education
Required: Associate degree or high school graduate/GED with minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital HIM Department in the functionality of record assembly or analysis or as an EHS Imaging Quality Control/Indexing Analyst.
Preferred: Associate or bachelor degree with HIM focus.
Experience
Required: Previous experience in a hospital HIM Department to include working knowledge of overall operations. Will consider comparable medical office experience. Proven leadership ability, proficiency in time management and strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred: Prior experience with a document imaging system, preferably McKesson Horizon Patient Folder. One to three years supervisory experience in an office environment, preferably healthcare related. Prior MPI/EAD experience.

Department Position Summary
Prioritizes and distributes the workload for the shift to assure timely completion of all Archival, Imaging and MPI/EAD tasks. Works directly alongside team members in a leadership capacity to meet productivity and quality standards. Provides exemplary customer service for both internal and external customers and ensures that team members mirror same. Independently handles problems of a routine nature as they occur. Screens non-standard issues requiring management intervention and escalates as appropriate. Assists in the training and orientation of new team members. Coordinates coverage for vacations, illness, etc. Monitors designated workflow queues and error logs and processes all assignments in a timely manner. Coordinates with Patient Registration, Technology Management and various ancillary departments to verify and maintain the integrity of the enterprise-wide MPI/EAD, thereby minimizing the issuance of duplicate medical record numbers to patients being registered for care.
