Job Summary:
The Benefits Leave Analyst coordinates all benefits administration of the Leave of Absence programs for all Erlanger employees under the direction of the Benefits Manager.

Required:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, personnel or human resource administration or a minimum of 10 to 15 years of Health and Welfare Benefits experience.

Three to five years of appropriate work experience with knowledge of comprehensive benefits programs and strength in administering Leave of absence programs. Must have experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Internet. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of benefits and leave administration. Specifically, knowledge about FMLA polices, Short Term Disability and state specific leave requirements. Present him/herself in a professional manner and work as a liaison with different levels of personnel internal and external to the organization and demonstrate integrity when interacting with all customer populations. He/she must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. The Benefits Leave Analyst must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time, be able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines. The Benefits Leave Analyst must maintain confidentiality in all matters and must promote teamwork in intra/interdepartmental relationships.

Department Position Summary:
The Benefits Leave Analyst will administer the Leave of Absence program for Erlanger Health System employees. He/she will communicate with the vendor and employees/managers regarding leave eligibility and other leave needs/issues. The Leave Analyst will perform monthly audits on leave claims and be responsible for all details around managing the leave program. He/she will act as the liaison for employees and the vendors assisting with unresolved claims issues and the Analyst will assure employees� adherence to benefit policies, procedures and practices for qualifying leave events and FMLA Rights. The Leave Analyst will provide resolution of payroll deduction issues and coordinate corrective payment of retroactive charges for delinquent and overpayments of payroll benefit deductions for applicable leave pay. He/she will assist with Open Enrollment for those on leave and other special projects as assigned by the Benefits Manager. The Benefits Analyst performs difficult, complex, technical and/or specialized office support work, which requires the exercise of independent judgment, the application of technical skill and a detailed knowledge of the activities and procedures specific to benefits assigned.
