Commercial Site Superintendent

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Site Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring projects adhere to safety standards, budgets, and schedules, while maintaining the highest quality standards. As a Site Superintendent, you will be the primary point of contact for project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients, driving project success through effective management and supervision. Duties

• Lead daily operations on construction sites, supervising subcontractors, tradespeople, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify work aligns with project specifications.
• Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and coordinating with estimators using HeavyBid or comparable estimating tools.
• Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure construction work meets all standards and specifications; perform routine site inspections.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery through effective communication with suppliers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, change orders, and progress updates.
• Collaborate closely with project managers on contract administration, scope changes, and project scheduling adjustments.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for project documentation, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and punch lists.
• Supervise site activities related to pipeline installation or heavy civil works as applicable; ensure adherence to schematics and technical requirements.
• Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when required; oversee electrical installations in accordance with technical specifications.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling (Primavera P6), budgeting, contracts management, and quality control.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid; ability to adapt quickly to new digital tools.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
• Skilled in project scheduling and managing multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and use testing tools like ohmmeters for electrical work inspections.
• Effective communicator capable of coordinating between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams seamlessly.
• Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on quality assurance and continuous process improvement in construction environments. Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
