Role Description
The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Blair, NE, responsible for overseeing industrial construction projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day duties include coordinating project activities, managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, owners, engineers, and field leadership, and ensuring work is completed according to specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
The role involves developing and maintaining project budgets, tracking costs, and supporting accurate forecasting and reporting. The Construction Project Manager will collaborate with owners, design teams, and internal stakeholders, handle RFIs and change orders, and monitor progress to keep projects on time and within scope. This position also requires regular site visits, problem-solving in the field, and proactive risk management to maintain high-quality project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in project coordination and project management, including scheduling, tracking milestones, and aligning resources to project goals.
- Experience in construction project management and construction management, with proven ability to oversee field operations and manage subcontractors and self-perform crews.
- Strong budgeting and cost control skills, including estimating, change order management, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Knowledge of industrial construction methods, site safety practices, and relevant building codes and regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with owners, engineers, architects, and on-site teams.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents, and to resolve construction issues in the field.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., scheduling tools, spreadsheet and document software).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
