Job duties for Receptionist/Telephone Operator include:
- Greeting the showroom customers with a smile and assisting them by providing the information needed or referring them to the correct staff member.
- Operating the telephone switchboard by answering incoming calls, transferring callers to appropriate personnel, taking messages and using the paging system.
- Documenting customers who come into the dealership, noting basic demographic information and contact information.
- Performing general administrative duties, such as making coffee and straightening magazines to maintain the lobby or reception area.
Job Requirements
- Excellent telephone manners – consisting of a welcoming and professional manner and tone
- Welcome all customers as they enter the dealership with a smile.
- Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. We look forward to hearing from all interested and qualified candidates
- The receptionist should be familiar with vehicle models and personnel within the dealership, and be polite and professional in manner
- Receptionists must be organized to keep track of all incoming calls and visitors and have outstanding telephone & communication skills, as they are usually the first person a customer interacts with in a dealership.
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Great attitude with a high-energy pleasant personality
- Minimum 1 years of customer service experience required, clerical experience preferred
- Positive and upbeat attitude is a must!
- Need to be responsible and organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Punctuality and reliability a MUST
The job duties for this position will include, but are not limited to, handling multiple incoming customer calls. Operator will then determine the proper direction in which to route the call. Candidate MUST be able to pleasantly, calmly and efficiently handle multiple calls at once.
The schedule for this 40 hour per week position will be Monday thru Friday 8:30 to 5:30, with a one hour lunch break.
