As a Territory Manager, you’ll support volunteers, connect with community leaders, grow membership, and help deliver meaningful programs to families across Lucas and/or Wood Counties.
Position Overview
The Territory Manager (District Executive) leads local Scouting efforts by developing volunteers, building community partnerships, supporting fundraising campaigns, and ensuring high-quality programs for youth.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers and community partners.
- Grow Scouting membership through outreach and relationship building.
- Support fundraising efforts, including annual campaigns and community giving.
- Expand programs through schools, civic groups, and community organizations.
- Provide regular communication, meetings, and training for volunteers and leaders.
- Ensure successful execution of district programs, events, and camp participation.
- Manage schedules, budgets, and reporting to achieve annual goals.
- Represent Scouting professionally throughout the community.
- Work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends.
Desired Skills
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Experience in marketing, sales, fundraising, or nonprofit leadership (preferred).
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive, creative, responsible, and comfortable engaging diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Age 21 (unless otherwise allowed by law).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Ability to travel for annual training (1–2 weeks).
- Ability to work varied hours as needed.
- Background checks required.
- Scouting experience helpful but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $42,000–$48,000/year (based on experience)
