Opportunity to join our Future Focus Internship Program as a Third Party Risk Management Intern

Erie Insurance is committed to helping you learn and grow with a challenging internship position that will offer you relevant and real-world business experience. We are currently seeking applicants who are interested in being considered for our upcoming summer internship program as potential T hird Party Risk Management Interns!

Who should apply?

  • Application s are accepted from college students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university to pursue a four-year degree or to complete a master's degree program full-time
  • A four-year degree student should be completing sophomore, junior, or senior year (graduating in spring 2026 thru spring 2028)
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is highly preferred
  • Candidates with strong writing, communication, relationship, and analytical skills highly preferred, as well as familiarity with risk management practices.
  • Students majoring in Risk Management are highly preferred.

About the Internship: The internship includes orientation to the company and the insurance industry through:

Position Summary

Under close supervision, performs functional duties for assigned division. Performs special projects as required.

As a Third Party Risk Management Intern, You Will

  • Conduct assessments of risks to ERIE associated with doing business with third parties.
  • Gain an understanding of risk management principles.
  • Learn about risk response techniques.
  • Gain experience in using risk management technology.
  • Learn and apply project management skills by participating in a project aimed at enhancing ERIE’s Third Party Risk Management Program or processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs various tasks related to the achievement of division objectives.
  • Conducts research and gathers information and assists in creating presentations as required.
  • Analyzes data and reports findings.
  • Verifies and enters data into appropriate system, and updates electronic files.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support as needed.
  • Completes special projects as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Pursuit of Bachelor's degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required.

Additional Experience

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software preferred.
