POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Intern will assist the Director of Marketing & Marketing Coordinators in creating various promotional content and graphic design for Erie Events facilities while supporting event’s needs. This includes but is not limited to: Social, email, web, print, photography, and videography, digital and print graphic design. Additionally, he/she will write copy and gather analytics for active social media campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Junior or Senior enrolled in a university majoring in Graphic Design Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge and familiarity of Graphic Design
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs (e.g. Adobe In Design, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom)
- Skilled in DSLR photography & videography using Nikon equipment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office & social media platforms
- Passion for the marketing & entertainment industry and its best practices
- Flexible schedule and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional efforts (ex: social media, email, web, etc.)
- Designs marketing material for Digital and Print Projects for Erie Events Facilities.
- Assist marketing department in photography & videography of events.
- Capable of managing end-to-end content creation from shooting to final edits
- Write copy for social media campaigns.
- Collect digital marketing analytics (e.g. social media, email, website)
- Works with team members to evaluate current marketing efforts.
- Support team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Aids in market analysis & research on current industry trends.
- Complete end of internship presentation to leadership at Erie Events.
- Other duties as assigned.
