What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Specialist position at Erie County Land Bank?
We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated professional to assist with the continued growth of the Erie County Land Bank. This important position assists in the daily duties and activities of the organization focused on land bank property inventory, outreach to municipalities to identify blighted properties, implementing special programs, and monitoring contractors. This position will also work with us to establish the Cornerstone Community Land Trust a new organization dedicated to create and steward permanently affordable housing for homeownership while stabilizing neighborhoods and building wealth for Erie County residents.
The successful candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and have good communication skills. A strong candidate would have some knowledge of construction, home improvements, landscaping, real estate, or community outreach but other experience will be considered. Leadership qualities, educational attainment and experience strongly desired; self-motivation and enthusiasm a must. A great sense of humor, compassion and an ability to enjoy a wide range of responsibilities and activities (work will include both office and field work) are also important.
