What are the responsibilities and job description for the Provider Support Specialist position at Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities?
The Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a Provider Support Specialist to help support service providers who work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
In this role, you will help manage provider contracts, review invoices, support quality reviews, and serve as a resource for providers to ensure services meet state and agency requirements. This position works closely with internal staff, providers, families, and community partners.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage contracts with local service providers, including new contracts, renewals, and updates
- Review and process provider invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Help maintain contract and provider records in agency databases
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to service providers
- Assist with provider quality assurance reviews
- Prepare letters, reports, and informational materials
- Ensure compliance with Ohio law, DODD rules, and agency policies
- Work closely with staff, providers, families, and community partners
- Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to individuals and families
- Help support other department staff during busy periods or absences
