About The Role
Erie Affiliates, Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead commercial and federal projects across Ohio, Michigan, Pittsburgh, and Western Pennsylvania. This hands-on field leadership role requires a decisive site superintendent who manages daily operations, coordinates trades, enforces safety, and ensures projects are delivered to specification, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations for commercial, multifamily, and renovation projects throughout Cleveland and the surrounding region.
- Manage, mentor, and direct on-site crews and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, and site discipline.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate trade sequencing, and drive milestone completion to meet project deadlines.
- Perform regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with construction documents, drawings, specifications, and local building codes.
- Enforce safety protocols and site housekeeping standards to support a safety-first culture on every job site.
- Prepare and submit daily reports, progress documentation, RFIs, and field change notices using construction management software and mobile tools.
- Coordinate with project management on cost tracking, change orders, material deliveries, and subcontractor invoicing to support budget performance.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, architects, engineers, municipal inspectors, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a superintendent or lead foreman on commercial construction projects.
- Construction experience working on government projects, including familiarity with public-sector contracting requirements and permitting.
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings; coordinate trade work and sequencing.
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam or similar) and Microsoft Office for daily reporting and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have NO Federal felonies.
