Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with NYS Learning Standards
- Teach middle and high school courses in technology and/or agriculture
- Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom/shop/lab environment
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners
- Utilize instructional technology and equipment appropriately
- Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with colleagues
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Technology Education, Agriculture, or related area preferred
- Candidates working toward certification or with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students in a small-school setting
- Commitment to hands-on, experiential learning
- Salary commensurate with experience, per district substitute rate
- Position will run through the end of the current school year
