Job Qualifications:Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NY HELPS appointment as follows:A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma including or supplemented by a course in typing and one (1) year of office clerical experience.

- Supervises the work of clerical staff in the Career and Technical Center.
- Prepares bi-weekly payroll reports for the Center.
- Handles routine student problems in accordance with standard procedures.
- Oversees the purchasing procedures for the Center from initial requisition to delivery.
- Performs general office work associated with the office of the Career and Technical Center principal.
- Assists in the preparation of reports to the local school districts.
- Ensures that incoming and outgoing mail is forwarded properly.
- Oversees the petty cash fund for the Center.
- Keeps attendance records for all employees at the Center.
- Receives visitors and provides information as needed.
- Maintains the records for student activity accounts.
- Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title.
