Civil Service Title:Senior Account Clerk (NY HELPS)
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NY HELPS appointment as follows:A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two (2) year college or university with an Associates Degree in Accounting or Business and one (1) year experience in the maintaining of financial records; OR; B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years experience in the compilation and maintenance of financial records; OR;C) Seven (7) years experience in the compilation and maintenance of financial records; OR; D) An equal combination of training and experience as defined by the limit of (A), (B) and (C).
