Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or small-group instruction in reading, math, and other core subjects based on student needs.
- Support students with learning differences, developmental delays, or English language learning needs.
- Assist in implementing accommodations and modifications for students with IEPs or 504 plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet learning goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with daily lessons.
- Promote social, emotional, and academic growth in a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and strategies for support.
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school activities.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, assessments, and student outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification/licensure appropriate for K-4 support roles (as required by the state or school).
- Knowledge of early childhood instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, and classroom management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to support diverse learners in an inclusive classroom environment.
- Prior experience working with K-4 students needing academic support.
- Familiarity with interventions for literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Experience supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, or English language learning needs.
- Ability to use assessment data to guide instruction and interventions.
