Industrial Electrician
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team.
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for supporting the manufacturing of Portable Power products and facility operations when required, this includes but is not limited to diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing product and equipment. Electricians are also responsible for electrical installations, repair and preventative maintenance of complicated electrical equipment and circuits.
Available Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (M – TH)
Other Shift Options Include:
- 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-TH)
- 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (M-TH)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures in accordance with code compliance using hand and power tools.
- Panel wiring, construction and installation.
- Bending and running conduit.
- Perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Reading technical diagrams and blueprints and interpret specifications and drawing
- Following NEC state and local building regulations.
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays.
- Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects for adjustment and repair.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience (minimum 3 years) working as a commercial/industrial electrician
- Licensed Electrician (National Electrical Contractors Association | NECA) preferred
