Audit Staff - Austin, TX - Growing Firm! Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planning, fieldwork and reporting functions for audit, review, and other attestation engagements for small to mid-sized entities for retirement plans, profit, and non-profit entities in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Prepare/review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Document complex work and review work prepared by new associates
- Research accounting guidance and new accounting updates.
- No travel required and almost no work is done at client offices.
What We’re Looking For:
- 0-3 years of current audit experience in public accounting with a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS
- Experience in auditing retirement plans
- Experience using audit management software and risk assessment tools
- Ability to multi-task and manage your workload individually and in groups
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate with clients and co-workers
- Strong supervisory and project management skills
Education Requirements
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- Masters in accountancy is preferred
