About the Position
- The Truck Driver safely operates various trucks and trailers to transport orchard equipment. Duties include loading, securing, unloading, connecting and disconnecting trailers, maintaining logs and records, communication, navigation, and service and maintenance. This role works under the direct supervision of the Custom Service Coordinators.
- This is a seasonal to year-round position involving 40 to 60 hours per week, Monday through Friday, approximately 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. During busy seasons overtime, weekend work, and some overnight travel is required.
Job Duties
- Operate various trucks with a GVW over 26,000 lbs, trailers and equipment with safety, quality and efficiency.
- Proficiently follow verbal or written directions, use GPS, mapping, routing systems and apps.
- Accurately complete and submit payroll information, logs, safety inspections, maintenance records and other documents.
- Regularly inspect, clean, service and maintain vehicles and trailers, performing repairs as needed.
- Appropriately use and maintain any company provided equipment, tools, vehicles, forklifts phones, credit and fuel cards, etc.
- Comply with federal, state and ENE safety regulations and procedures.
- Report any injury, illness, dangers, hazards, or issues with equipment.
- Comply with the ENE drug and alcohol policy.
Qualifications
- Possess personal integrity, positive attitude and strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail and good sense of direction.
- At least 2 years experience driving tractor trailers, loading and hauling equipment is highly desirable.
- Possess a valid class A Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Ability to use a phone, text message, email, various apps and aptitude to learn new applications and software as needed.
