What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembly Worker position at Eric'sons?
Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm & Friday 6am-2:30pm
Position overview: The Production Assembly worker will be responsible for all tasks required for department efficiency.
Assembly:
- Assemble and package drain and trench systems using a variety of hand tools
- Contribute to the overall facility production goals on a daily basis
- Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment with a “safety first” mindset
- Follow all safety processes and procedures
- Operate power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of products in any the assembly department.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience as a Laborer
- Dependability to report to work
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to effectively use a variety of hand tools
- Must be able to read and interpret simple shop drawings
- Bilingual (English and Spanish, both oral and written) is a plus
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Supervisory requirements:
- None
Competencies:
- Ability to prioritize work tasks and multi-task
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and outside elements
- Ability to stand/walk/crouch/bend frequently throughout entire shift (up to 10 hours)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
- Must be able to form advantageous work relationships with peers, managers and plant management
