We are looking for a friendly, reliable Deli Cashier to join our team. The Deli Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and assisting with basic deli operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Accurately process customer orders and handle cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Answer questions about deli items, specials, and menu options.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout and service area.
- Restock beverages, snacks, and grab-and-go items as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Resolve customer concerns or direct them to a supervisor when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends.
