What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shoveling, lawncare, Labor, remodeling position at Eric Nordeen Builder LLC?
I own a construction and remodeling company and a property management company, both in the Minnetonka/Excelsior area. I am looking for someone to help me full/part time. We do everything such as remodels, home improvement, landscaping, mowing, snow removal and repairs of many things. I also do a lot of stuff around my own home, fixing vehicles, mowers, building stuff for jobs, etc.
I am looking for a laborer. Little experience in carpentry is A-Okay, as long as you are willing to work hard, use common sense, and learn. I need a physically able and dependable shoveler or two, maybe you and a reliable friend. We all know how Minnesota winters go, this work can't be scheduled quite as easily so we all watch the weather and do our best to plan accordingly. I have all the shovels you could ever need and possibly a snow blower for your use if your vehicle can transport it. I plow with my truck.
I would be happy to help you become insured/licensed for construction and remodeling, if that's something you are interested in. This would lead to higher pay.
All workers are required to be respectful, responsible, punctual, have a vehicle and license, and a clear background check.
My daughter has been my righthand for 15 years and will continue doing the office work and the majority of property management. Since her back injury, she has been cutting back hours on the physical labor end of things, which is where I need you.
If you like dad jokes, having a flexible schedule, working for a respectful family company, and would like to learn many useful things, please apply for this job and we can get started.
My biggest current issue with workers is the no call no shows. I schedule work being done at customer's homes days in advance, after checking with my worker(s) they can work that day. If they don't show up and/or at least let me know, it messes my entire schedule and deadlines. Please only inquire if you will stick to your word on your availability. (Emergencies are a totally different story. There are plenty of things more important than work. All I ask is that you let me know as soon as you get an inkling of not being able to show up when you thought you could).
Past workers have benefitted from my help on their homes and vehicles, being able to hire a friend to help them on my jobs (paid through me), unlimited time off -scheduled and/or emergency, occasional free lunches, and use of my equipment outside of work.
