Job Overview

This is a project management role. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the work from pre-construction through closeout. This is not a working-foreman position; the Project Manager leads through scheduling, communication, documentation, and problem-solving to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Control (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and short-interval plans in coordination with the Superintendent/Lead Foreman.
  • Track scope, budget, and allowances; identify variances early and drive corrective action.
  • Plan procurement and material lead times; coordinate deliveries to support the field plan.
  • Maintain complete project documentation (plans, specifications, selections, RFIs, change documentation, daily logs).

Client Communication and Expectation Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client/homeowner for project updates, questions, and decisions.
  • Run regular progress meetings and provide clear written updates on schedule, selections, and next steps.
  • Manage selections/finish decisions to prevent delays and rework.
  • Address concerns promptly and professionally; escalate as needed.

Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination

  • Solicit, level, and coordinate subcontractors within company process and approved scope.
  • Confirm scope, sequencing, and site readiness prior to subcontractor start.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure documentation is collected and filed.
  • Verify completion and quality of subcontracted work and drive punch completion.

Field Leadership, Safety, and Quality

  • Coordinate daily/weekly priorities with the Superintendent/Lead Foreman to maintain production flow.
  • Ensure safety expectations are communicated and enforced; stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Perform regular quality walks; identify deficiencies early and ensure corrective action.
  • Drive closeout: punch lists, O&M/warranty information, final inspections, and client handoff.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred. Five or more years of experience in residential construction or remodeling, with at least two years managing projects (preferred).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
