Job Overview
Eric Foster, Inc. is seeking dependable and compassionate Visitation Supervisors to support families involved in Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) cases. This role focuses on facilitating safe, structured, and supportive visitation sessions between children and their parents or caregivers while maintaining compliance with court orders and agency safety standards. Visitation Supervisors support reunification by observing parent-child interactions, providing in-the-moment guidance, and intervening when necessary to ensure child safety. Training is provided, and required credentialing is completed within the first three (3) months of employment.
Duties
- Coordinate and supervise visitation sessions between children and their families in accordance with court orders and DCS guidelines.
- Ensure visits are conducted in a safe, structured, and supportive environment that prioritizes child well-being.
- Observe and document parent-child interactions, including strengths, concerns, and safety-related behaviors.
- Provide in-the-moment guidance and redirection to support appropriate behavior and positive interactions.
- Intervene as needed to ensure child safety using de-escalation strategies and established agency protocols.
- Accurately complete required documentation following each visit in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with Family Case Managers, supervisors, and other service providers as part of the reunification process.
- Maintain professional boundaries, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in required training, supervision, and credentialing activities.
Qualifications
- One of the following education and experience combinations:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university or a High School Diploma/GED or
- Associate’s degree and at least four (4) years of full-time experience providing direct services to children and families. This experience must include working with families needing assistance related to child safety, protection, and care.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, neutrality, and documentation standards.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and compliance with Indiana auto insurance requirements.
- Ability to pass all required background checks for DCS-related services.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
