Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. The candidate would analyze designs, specifications, and related documents; Implement communication system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment; analyze network characteristics (e.g. traffic connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes and throughput); troubleshoots problems and recommend procurement of and/or modifications to network components.

• Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data
• Resolve network issues
• Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting
• Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures
  
  

This position allows for partial telework.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience Twelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer
• Proficient with Linux
• Security certification
• IAT Level 3 certification
  
  

Desired Skills

• Linux system administration experience is a plus
• CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus
• Should have working knowledge, able to use and or support, with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools:
• Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
• Palo Alto firewalls
• Linux servers
• Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources
• Ansible or SALT scripts

Benefits

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $215,000 - $270,000.
