Overview
The skilled remodeling technician is a key member of our remodeling and home services team, performing the work necessary to take ownership to complete projects with excellence and efficiency. This role takes a hands-on approach to our remodels and reports to our owner. This position requires at least 5 years of experience in the field.
Essential Job Functions
- Possesses the knowledge to perform the tasks necessary to complete interior remodeling projects and home service work from start to finish
- Displays the personal skills necessary to coordinate and work with other team members and, on occasion, subcontractors
- At least 5 years of experience in demolition, carpentry, drywall, trim, light plumbing and/or electrical, painting, etc.
- Works with other Remodeling Technicians to communicate needs and ensure proper materials and supplies are on the truck or on-site in order to complete the project
- Addresses and interacts with customers in a professional, positive way
Education and Experience
- 5 years remodeling experience required
- Specifically, experience in framing, flooring installation, tub and surround installation, and trim required.
- Examples of previous work must be provided upon application
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean record and consent to a background check
- Applications of individuals without trade experience will not be accepted.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly rate is $35-$40 per hour based on experience

Details
Hours of work
This position is a full-time position, 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. While we have set hours for our residential remodels, hours may be able to be varied for commercial remodels or certain projects. As a small, family-owned business, we exhibit flexibility in regard to necessary changes to schedule and do our best to allow adjustments when the project and work allows.
Overtime expectations
Overtime is not guaranteed or required on a regular basis, but it is often available. The overtime rate is calculated at time and a half of the regular, hourly rate.
Work environment
Most of the remodeling projects will be done in a residential setting, indoors. Ability to perform physical labor in regard to demolition and moving of large materials is a must, however, whenever it is possible we make an effort to provide equipment or tools to make physical labor easier or more efficient for the employee. Milwaukee power tools are provided but employee must provide their own hand tools. Applicant must be able to be effective independently but also work well as part of a small team.
Technology requirements
Our company uses a mobile software application to manage schedules, project and timecards. Ability to utilize this mobile device is a requirement as its features provide all required information for our projects.
Additional considerations
The person in this role should have an eye for detail, a standard of excellence in their work and a high level of integrity. Individual should be capable of independently determining supplies needed, recruiting help from other teammates as necessary, and completing the projects in a timely manner independently. Completing the required tasks is important, but attention must be given to how the required tasks are done.

- All administrative tasks, billing and scheduling is handled by our office manager
- While we understand that side-work is a regular occurrence in this nature of work, we ask that side-work not be completed utilizing company resources such as vehicles, tools, etc. or interfere with company projects.
- The scope of work that we provide to our customers is vast so we will provide on the job training for any skills that the applicant doesn’t currently possess
