Specific Duties Include
- Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of sealant manufacturing including proper coaching and training of assigned personnel to ensure and maintain an efficient and safe operation.
- Supporting company's Target Zero safety initiative to create an incident and injury free work environment.
- Developing and leading a cross-trained workforce.
- Mixing various raw materials per batch forms and following instructions created by sealant engineering.
- Leading department daily management meetings.
- Leading and performing root cause analysis when problems occur as well as individual performance evaluations.
- Maintaining established quality standards for packaging, labeling, palletizing, handling, and storage of Crafco products.
- Coordinate with purchasing to order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies and materials.
- Weekly inventory cycle counts to track and help ensure inventory accuracy.
- Control the costs associated with the operation of the department including labor, overtime, supplies, scrap, and tooling as outlined in the departmental budget.
- Managing inventory storage tank levels for asphalt & scheduling inbound and outbound tanker trucks for the roofing department.
- Available to work 1st shift, with overtime as required based on production needs.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years experience with production supervision in manufacturing or plant operations
- Quality certifications, Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement backgrounds are preferred
- Computer Proficiency including email, Word, Excel, and MS Office applications and proprietary systems
