This is a support position to the IEC Maintenance Department. The IEC Tech I provides support for the repair, installation, and calibration of refinery and terminal IEC equipment and for other activities that involve the IEC Maintenance Department.
Position Qualifications:
- This requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and meeting or exceeding IEC Helper qualifications.
- Strong communication skills recommended.
- A valid driver's license must be maintained.
- Must successfully complete and pass a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Must successfully complete Emergency Response Training and perform duties as assigned
- Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
- Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates
- Assist in performance of preventive maintenance on all IEC related equipment
- Assist in repair and maintenance of steam systems
- Assist in installation of conduit and wiring
- Assist in installation and repair of electric heat tracing
- Assist in installation and maintenance of instrument tubing
- Assist in troubleshooting and repair of control valves, regulators, heater control panels, motor controls, transmitters and other IEC related equipment
