Our position is for a full-time Terminal Operator I at our Martinsburg, WV facility. The ideal operator would possess good organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills. We want people who look for opportunities to learn new skills and can contribute to making our facility an even better place to work.
Our Terminal Operator I is an entry-level, safety-sensitive operations position focused on the general functions of the terminal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Safety requirements and procedures.
- Able to work independently (self-driven), as well as a Team Player.
- Maintain customer, supplier and Company confidentiality.
- Maintain regular hours by being present, on-time and producing professional, error-free work.
- Receive and hook up rail cars.
- Connect steam and unloading hoses.
- Collect and record tank temperatures and measurements. Record information appropriately.
- Have a working knowledge of and successfully operate Order Weigh system.
- Perform routine yard maintenance.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment.
- Pull product samples upon request.
- Adhere to all (DOT) and (OSHA) requirements.
- Maintain excellent attendance and timeliness.
- Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Other duties as required by Terminal Manager.
Job Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills and PC knowledge.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (where applicable).
- Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
- Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
- Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
