Role Description

We're looking for a part-time Content Editor based in New York, NY (hybrid). This role spans the full production arc — from being on set during filming to shaping the final cut in post. You'll work closely with our production team and lecturers to make sure every course is clear, accurate and engaging.

What You’ll Do

• Work with editors in post to ensure the final cut reflects the intellectual arc of each lecture
• Review raw lecture footage using Descript and edit transcript for clarity, coherence, and flow
• Contribute to editorial decisions about course structure and pacing
• On set, serve as script supervisor — tracking takes, retakes, and changes to lecture material
• Follow the lecture closely enough to raise questions, flag gaps or inconsistencies in real time

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in digital content production, journalism, or a related field
• Skill in script editing and crafting high-quality, engaging written materials
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Philosophy, Communications, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with academic topics, particularly in philosophy or related disciplines, is a plus
• Experience with film or video production is a plus
