ERG Aerospace is seeking a dynamic, hands-on HR Manager to lead and elevate our day-to-day people operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a highly visible role where you’ll drive real impact, partnering closely with leaders on the floor, engaging directly with employees, and ensuring seamless operations behind the scenes. You’ll play a critical role across our Nevada and California facilities, championing a strong, compliant workplace while building a culture where people feel supported, empowered, and set up to succeed.
This is a fast-paced HR Department of One role responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle. The position oversees handbook, policy, and compliance initiatives, and serves as the primary point of contact for benefits administration, including open enrollment and payroll coordination. You will also lead employee relations efforts, handling FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation administration, while serving as the trusted face of HR. This includes managing conflict resolution, coaching supervisors, and fostering our “supportive entrepreneurial” culture.
This position is a full-time, five-days-per-week onsite role. The selected candidate may be based out of either our Oakland or Sparks location, with bi-weekly travel (approximately two days) to the alternative site.
The ideal qualified candidate will have the following minimum skills and experience:
- 6 years HR Generalist and HR management experience, combined.
- Comprehensive knowledge of California, Nevada, and Federal employment laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Paycom.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification, strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Experience working as an “HR Department of One”, preferred.
