Role overview
The Operations Delivery Manager is responsible for execution of customer orders, planning the entire delivery process from purchase order receipt to fulfillment, including capacity planning, raw materials procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination. This role oversees and coordinates internal production, toll manufacturing, and distributor collaboration to ensure accurate timely delivery.
This role reports to the CEO of the company.
Key deliverables for this role
- Order Execution and Delivery: oversee the execution of all customer orders globally, ensuring on-time delivery, regardless of whether the orders are produced internally, through tollers, or by 3rd party vendors.
- Planning and Process Coordination: develop and maintain production capacity, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, manage raw material procurement and workflows, and monitor delivery schedules to optimize resources, meet deadlines, and ensure smooth order execution.
- Quality Assurance: ensure all delivered products meet company quality standards and customer requirements regarding specification, packaging and schedule.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance order execution processes.
Traits of a strong candidate
- Proven experience in a high-purity, high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within precursor manufacturing, with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical aspects, and quality assurance.
- Strong background in supply chain management and project management, particularly in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, with the ability to take full ownership of critical success factors, ensuring clear lines of responsibility and accountability, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Six Sigma experience and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct early risk identification, FMEA and 8D’s problem-solving methodology, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively between technical teams, customers, and subcontractors, working collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, and providing detailed operations reports and high-level executive updates.
