Responsibilities
- Complete inspection and documentation of a wide variety of construction activities by the contractor confirming all work is being done in accordance with specifications.
- Review and interpret contract and job specifications
- Maintain daily paperwork in accordance with clients’ requirements
Requirements
- Perform math calculations
- Proficient computer skills
- Detail oriented
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Physical requirements
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Walk several miles per day
- Work in the outdoors in various weather conditions
- Work various shifts including overtime as needed
- Travel to project sites
Eligibility
- 2 years minimum transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection experience
- or 4 years minimum of highway or bridge construction experience
- or Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Preferred certifications but not required:
- NICET highway construction level II
- PennDOT concrete
- NECEPT bituminous
