Expected Salary Range

Additional Job Duties
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in grid stability and its technology development, possessing specialized advanced technical skills and competencies.
- Expands the company’s capabilities and innovation in developing and adopting best industrial practices for maintaining and improving grid stability
- Provides technical expertise to business for grid stability issues and lead projects as needed
- Creates and communicates a vision which anticipates, identifies and explains challenges and opportunities that the company will encounter with IBRs integration and operation to demonstrate compliance with NERC and Regional reliability standards applicable to ERCOT
- Represents ERCOT in stakeholder forums, committees, and working groups to provide information on ERCOT systems, practices and capabilities and provide informed leadership where appropriate
- Participates in the industry activities and provide comments and inputs to the standards and procedures such as NERC, ISO RTO council, and IEEE that may affect ERCOT now or in the future
- Publishes Industry-leading conceptual papers
- Mentors the ERCOT staff to ensure a strong core of technology awareness
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Requires minimum 10 years of specialized experience in grid stability studies, modeling, and reliability service needs in excess of degree requirements
- Experience with leading industry activities such as NERC, IEEE, CIGRE and EPRI preferred
- Prior experience supervising or leading a team preferred
- Bachelor's Degree: Electrical Engineering or related field (Required)
- Master’s or Ph.D. Degree: Electrical Engineering with Power Systems focus (Preferred)
- or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
- PSSE or PSCAD
- Familiarity with the Texas grid
- Good communication and presentation skills
- PE Professional Engineer (Preferred)
- Employees will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at a minimum of 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on the business needs as determined by management
- On-site schedules are flexible or may be rotated based on business needs as determined by the Manager
- Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.
- Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time
