What you'll be doing:
Schedule: Full-time overnights, 6:30pm-7:00am. Working with children and adults at Eating Recovery Center's residential facility in Hunt Valley, MD.
As a member of the nursing leadership team, the Nurse House Supervisor supports teammates in providing a safe environment for patients and teammates through the coordination and evaluation of the unit under the general direction of the Nurse Director.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members
- Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties
- Uses the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team's level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
- Ensures efficient and effective unit operations including sufficient supplies and adjusts staffing as necessary
- Assists with scheduling teammates to cover open shifts
- Completes monthly audits and checklists
- Assures unit compliance with policies and procedures that meet accreditation and licensing requirements, including reviewing and following up on incident reports
- Serves as a resource and primary point of contact regarding clinical questions, policies, and procedures
- Provides direct patent care as necessary
- Assists teammates with patient care responsibilities including milieu and crisis management
Must haves:
- Associate's degree in nursing (required)
- Unrestricted RN license in state where assigned (required)
- 1 year of direct patient care experience (required)
- 1 years of supervising others or leading teams (required)
- Attention to detail (required)
- Strong communication skills, ability to lead, motivate and inspire others (required)
Bonus qualities:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
- 1 years of experience treating patients with eating disorders (preferred)
