Position Overview: ERA seeks a motivated Precast Sr. Structural Engineer who is interested in growing a rewarding career. As a Precast Sr. Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for working with a variety of clients, including architects, owners, and contractors, to create structural designs and construction documents within a team setting. You will coordinate with project partners and assist with executing the structural design.
As a key member of our precast structural engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate project erection and production drawings on time and within budget, consistently exceeding client expectations. Your role will involve performing structural analysis and design of precast buildings and other structures using current software. You will collaborate with project partners and clients to solve complex problems with a service-minded approach and coordinate with the internal team on design drawings and report preparation. Additionally, you will provide guidance to less experienced engineers, review the work of other engineers and BIM modelers, and work with construction partners to ensure a smooth construction process. Managing project workload and assisting with staffing needs are also critical aspects of this role, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Project Coordination
• Perform structural analysis and design of precast buildings and structures
• Oversee and coordinate project milestones, ensuring the client and internal teams are aligned on deliverables.
• Attend internal kickoff meetings and external coordination meetings
• Develop designs for structural systems and components
• Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines
Documentation and Quality Assurance
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring all deliverables—calculations, drawings, and reports—are accurate and up to date.
• Review and approve internal design documents, drawings, and calculations, ensuring compliance with project scope, quality standards, and internal procedures.
• Coordinate and schedule internal quality reviews.
• Communicate any discrepancies or scope changes to the Project Manager to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Construction Support
• Support construction partners in resolving field issues, ensuring that they are efficiently and accurately addressed to avoid project delays.
Administrative & Client Facing Duties
• Lead client relationship management from a technical and engineering perspective, ensuring expectations and deliverables are fully aligned.
• Work with Sr. Lead Structural Engineer and other team members to align engineering tasks with budgeted hours and project priorities
• Engage in legacy knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of client relationships
• Help ensure repeat business by understanding and delivering on client values.

• Full Time - Exempt
• In – Person Core Office Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday- Thursday
• Friday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pm
