Era Living is seeking part-time Food Servers to become the newest members of our Dining Services team located in our University House Wallingford Community, Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Thursday - Monday.
Competitive Compensation/Benefits Package Includes:
401(k) retirement plan with generous company match (eligibility contingent on age requirement)
1 hour vacation for every 37.15 hours paid to start (eligibility: regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours, but less than 32)
Double pay for holidays worked
1 hour paid sick time for every 40 hours worked

Primary Responsibilities:
The Food Server greets, seats, and provides food and beverage service for residents and guests in the dining-room. This role also provides support and service for special events in the Community.
- Attends and participates in the pre-meal and post-meal responsibilities; Assists in the set-up, service and breakdown daily
- Performs host duties as required, greeting and seating residents and guests; Manages seating, takes accurate orders, and ensures prompt service
- Serves meals following established service standard techniques; Manages resident to-go meals and delivery per Community standards
- Busses and cleans tables after each course; Cleans and sanitizes the dining room in preparation for the next shift
- Assists in the set-up, service, and breakdown of resident functions held in the private dining room or other common areas
- Responds to resident questions, needs, and concerns; provides comment cards for residents. Report all compliments and complaints to Dining Services Director
- Assists dishwasher in storing clean dishes
- Follows all established safety standards; reports any safety concerns to the Dining Services Director or Executive Director
- Amazing customer service skills; Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults
- Ability to follow established food service practices, ability to perform all aspects of host, busser, and food server functions
- Ability to take and submit food orders within established policies; Ability to manage time effectively and remain productive throughout shift
- Ability to use good interpersonal skills when interacting with Residents, family members, visitors and co-workers
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
- Required:
- Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire, required
- First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, as required
- Washington State Alcohol Permit or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, as required
