Medical Assistant

Pay Range: $24-$25/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients: taking vitals, updating medical history, and preparing for provider visit
• Assisting providers during exams and minor procedures
• Administering medications and injections as directed
• Performing point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose, rapid strep)
• Managing patient flow and scheduling follow-ups
• Documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Handling phone calls and prescription refills
• Maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms
• Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Current CPR/BLS certification
