During the ELS internship, you will work in a collaborative, fast-paced company right in the heart of downtown Chicago. The Tax Intern will support the Corporate Tax department by performing routine tax compliance and accounting functions. The Tax Intern will also work collaboratively with other finance and business unit colleagues. Our internship program is robust and you will be involved in meaningful projects that have a true impact upon the business. We also offer intern-specific activities, including lunch & learns, a group project and presentation to our executive team, networking opportunities and meet & greets with executives. Of course, our interns will also be a part of our summer company-wide social events!

Estimated Compensation For This Position In The States Of BC, CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT And WA Is
Hourly: $18.00 - $18.00
The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.

Your Job Will Include
- Help with the analysis of sales and use tax issues
- Assist with the preparation of supporting workpapers for income tax returns
- File maintenance for the income and sales tax functions
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Must have an interest in Tax
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program with a focus on Accounting or Finance
- Familiarity with Excel and the MS Office suite
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2
- Demonstrates problem solving skills in customer focused environment
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
