How You’ll Contribute:
As an Actuary, Modeling, you will play a key leadership role within Corporate Actuarial, managing and developing actuarial professionals while overseeing modeling and valuation activities for life and annuity products. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Investments, Accounting, Risk, and senior leadership to deliver accurate, compliant, and insightful actuarial results that support strategic business objectives. This role is well suited for an experienced actuary who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and applying sound actuarial judgment in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:

Lead, coach, and support actuarial team members, including performance management, work allocation, and professional development

Oversee actuarial modeling and valuation activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual Statutory and Tax reporting

Drive cash flow testing, ALM analysis, and reserve analysis for life and annuity blocks

Lead the conversion and ongoing management of actuarial systems within an ALFA-based modeling platform

Establish and maintain controlled, well-documented processes for model development, testing, and governance

Enhance automation, analytics, and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency

Partner with Investments, Accounting, Finance, and other stakeholders to support business and reporting needs

Support internal and external audits, regulatory inquiries, and governance committees

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and continuous-improvement–oriented team environment
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
Experience:
-
7 years of actuarial experience, including modeling and valuation
-
Experience with life insurance and fixed indexed annuity products
-
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- FSA or ASA designation required

Additional professional certifications (CPA, CFA, FRM, etc.) a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong actuarial modeling and quantitative analysis skills

Working knowledge of ALFA and actuarial valuation systems (e.g., ARCVAL)

Experience or exposure to programming/scripting tools such as VBA, SQL, or Python

Solid understanding of fixed indexed annuity and indexed life product features and risks

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively
- MG-ALFA experience
Physical Requirements:

Primarily sedentary role requiring extended computer use

Ability to communicate effectively in meetings and presentations

Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 20 lbs.)
