Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach leveled reading groups
- Conduct academic assessments
- Provide instruction in various math and reading drills and activities using learning strategies designed to introduce, reinforce, or modify skills
- Provide supervision and support for students during lunch and Friday Community Meeting
- Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining both school culture and academics
- Maintain high behavioral expectations for student behavior
- Enforce Equitas Academy’s positive discipline policies
- Work and assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students
- Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition
- Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A.A. degree OR two years of college (at least 48 units) OR passage of internal assessment required, BA preferred
- Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test
- At least 6 months experience working with and supervising children
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment
$22/hour
