Equitable Bank is looking for an experienced teller to join our Grand Island team. This position is a full-time position, hours will vary Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing customer’s transactions.
Job Functions:
- Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient processing of customer transactions
- Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements and enters deposits into computer records.
- Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Explains bank services and charges to customers
- Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
- Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification
- Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and enters into computer.
- Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards.
- Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
- Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate.
- Performs all other duties as assigned such as counting coin and currency, general receptionist duties, filing, etc.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 years customer service experience
- Banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone
- Creativity and resourcefulness
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks
