Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, hydraulic changes and fuel services
- Conduct thorough equipment diagnostics to identify mechanical issues using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to align repair schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Operate forklifts safely when moving vehicles or heavy equipment within the shop.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized crane service truck.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within a equipment environment.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, hydraulics, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Familiarity with OEM standards and dealership practices is preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required (non cdl); additional certifications related to mechanics are a plus.
